Hi, I'm Marc: Where Curiosity Meets Design
I'm a Senior UX Designer and Researcher who turns curiosity into solutions that help people achieve their goals. I ask a lot of questions. Not just any questions, but the kind that uncover what people really need and why they need it.

My Approach
I focus on making things work for real people in real situations. How will this fit into someone's daily routine? What existing behaviors does it require them to change? Where might it break down?
This curiosity is natural to me, but the systematic thinking comes from my computer science background. Together, they help me see both the big picture and the small details that make or break an experience.
My colleagues say I'm thoughtful and empathetic. I try to bring some humor to stressful situations. And I work thoroughly because I want to understand how all the pieces fit together before we commit to a direction.
The pattern I've seen again and again: we think we know the problem, then we talk to users, and the whole project shifts. That's why I advocate for research early and often. It's much cheaper to learn you're wrong in week two than in month six.
A Bit About Me
I'm originally from Germany, where I studied computer science. My path took me through Venezuela as an exchange student, Spain for more studies, and eventually to the US for graduate school in graphic design. I now call Denver home, and I love it here.
This international background gave me fluency in four languages and taught me to see problems from multiple angles. It's one of my favorite parts of how I work.
When I'm Not Working
You'll find me in my home gym (lifelong athlete), reading two books at once, or fumbling through beats on my MPC. I'm an amateur beatboxer from my choir days, a passionate Denver Nuggets supporter, and a sneaker enthusiast with a modest collection.
I also love being outside. Colorado's mountains are perfect for that, and getting into nature helps me think more clearly about whatever problem I'm trying to solve.
Why I Do This
I've always been drawn to enabling others, helping them succeed. I've tutored students, mentored designers, and coached sports teams. In UX, this translates to building solutions that make people more capable of doing what matters to them.
Whether it's giving scientists better lab tools or helping someone find the right healthcare information, I'm motivated by the idea that good design enables people.
Let's Work Together
If you're looking for a designer who combines international perspective with systematic thinking, natural curiosity with proven results, I'd love to explore how we can solve your toughest challenges together.
